Mapi pipe sewage drains are designed to collect and remove wastewaters from the road surface. Sewage drains are constructed using either PE or PP material and are completely watertight.
Sewage drains with sand containers are a form of sewage drains with deepened bottom, and are used in combination with meteor water sewage drains collecting water from residential rooftops, yards, paths and other hardened surfaces. Deepened bottom serves as a container for sand and other mineral particles that are heavier than water and sink to the bottom, as the water pours over. That way they are contained in the sewage drain and can be safely removed. That prevents uncontrolled build-up of mechanical particles capable of damaging or clogging the pipeline.
Sewage drains are constructed in accordance with SIST EN 13598-1 standard, and can be installed in areas where groundwater level reach 2,0 m above sewage drain or sand container bottom.
Sewage drain description
MAPI PIPE sewage drain consist of:
- Flat bottom of the drain
- Body of the sewage drain, made of ribbed sewage pipe OD400 and 500mm and ID400, 500 and 600mm
- Connector to the outflow pipe
All elements of a single sewage drain unit are made using the same material (polyethylene or polypropylene) and are joined together using extrusion welding. Maximum height for sewage drains is 3,0 meters.
Static or dynamic stress to the lid or the grill is not transferred directly to the body of the drain, instead a finished reinforced concrete slab redirects it to a fortified filling around the chamber. If the sewage drain is located near any road traffic, the entire body of the drain in the width of upper reinforced concrete frame is additionally cemented with mark 30 concrete.
Sewage drains are installed in areas where predicted groundwater levels don't exceed 2,0m mark.
